A list of amazing achievements

Establishment of the Sharon Considine scholarship for nurses to complete post graduate studies in oncology nursing;

Sponsorship of 8 nurses from the region to attend a national gynaecological oncology seminar in 2014;

Assisted several families who sadly lost their mothers to ovarian cancer with clothes, toys, bikes and school and sporting equipment;

$5,000 donation for the purchase of new wigs for the Wig Library at Newcastle Private Hospital.

Provision of training aids to assist nurses in practical nursing applications;

Established strong relationships with medical units, practitioners, business organisations and other charity organisations in the Hunter Region.

Engaging with the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation (HBCF) – $30,000 Funds have been allocated for transport to and from treatment and appointments, cleaning and practical assistance for ovarian cancer patients undergoing treatment, as well as comfort cushions for post-surgery;

Partnered with John Hunter Hospital for the provision of a bariatric recliner chair for the comfort of women who have had a gynaecological operation;

The sponsorship of the annual “Patient Care Day” organised by the Gynaecological Oncology Unit at the John Hunter Hospital.
