Patient Support Days

SOC for over 4 years have sponsored an Annual Patient Support Day in Newcastle to bring cancer patients from the Hunter Valley together for a care day. SOC liaise with the Gynaecological Oncology Unit at John Hunter Hospital where the wonderful nurses coordinate a day directed to providing information and support and generally some TLC to these women who have had cancer in the last twelve months.
SOC funds the venue and catering as well as paying accommodation for those who travel from afar, and assist with transport to and from the venue.
The day is a wonderful resource for those patients who do not have ready access to services and is much appreciated by those who attend.
